Horseradish Peroxidase-labeled Antibodies

Antibodies are conjugated to enzymes in order to amplify the signal via the catalytic properties of the enzyme. Most commonly used enzymes for this purpose are alkaline phosphatase (AP) and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Both AP and HRP conjugates are ideal for use in ELISA, immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry applications.

KPL reacts horseradish peroxidase (HRP) of highest quality with affinity purified antibodies. HRP has a faster catalytic rate than alkaline phosphatase (AP) and generates more product in shorter incubation times, allowing for greater sensitivity. Horseradish peroxidase is the enzyme of choice when working in systems where endogenous phosphatase activity exists. These conjugates offer maximum sensitivity and long shelf life.
