Specificity of BacTrace Anti-Yersinia Antibody

Anti-Yersinia antibody demonstrating effective detection of heat-inactivated samples of the Yersinia strains most often associated with human disease. Y. enterocolitica and Y. pestis are the causative agents in Yersiniosis and Plague, respectively. Minimal cross-reactivity to Yersinia ruckeri, and other Gram(-) bacteria is also observed. Y. ruckeri causes Enteric Redmouth disease (found mainly in rainbow trout) and is of little interest little interest in human epidemiology.
