Protein A, Peroxidase-Labeled

Protein A labeled with horseradish peroxidase. Protein A is a cell wall constituent of Staphylococcus aureus. This single polypeptide chain has a molecular weight of 42,000 daltons, is heat-stable, and contains little-to-no carbohydrate moieties.

Protein A has the ability to bind with high affinity to the IgG of many mammalian species via the Fc portion of the immunoglobulin. Specifically, protein A will recognize to varying degrees the IgG classes of human, rabbit, mouse, guinea pig, rat, sheep, bovine, goat, swine, and dog. Product is in lyophilized form.
