Labeled Streptavidin and Protein A
Certain detection systems call for specialized binding partners. SeraCare offers KPL labeled streptavidin and protein A to meet the needs of researchers looking for targets not well detected by conventional immunoassays.
SeraCare offers KPL protein A labeled with horseradish peroxidase. This product is ideal for use in ELISA, blotting or IHC applications. Protein A has the ability to bind with high affinity to the IgG of numerous mammalian species via the Fc portion of the immunoglobulins. This property permits its use as a universal secondary antibody. Protein A binds with the IgG classes of bovine, dog, guinea pig, goat, human, mouse, rabbit, rat, sheep, and swine to varying degrees.
SeraCare offers a full line of KPL streptavidin labeled with alkaline phosphatase, horseradish peroxidase, fluorescein, rhodamine, Cy dyes, R-phycoerythrin, and DyLights. Enzyme labeled streptavidin is also offered in a variety of forms for specific applications. KPL streptavidin conjugates are prepared with molecular biology grade chemicals and dispensed into RNase/DNase-free sterile vials. HRP-and AP-labeled streptavidin are available in liquid form for nucleic acid detection assays. The liquid conjugates are provided at a concentration of 0.1 mg/mL.
